My philosophy in working with patients, clients and students is one that focuses on developing a healing partnership in order to promote empowerment and optimum health.

I am an Acupuncturist, Chinese medicine educator and Women’s Wellness mentor with an adventurous spirit and someone who most often is able to find the fun and joy even in the mundane.

It is important to me to have purpose in my work and acupuncture, mentoring and educating through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) fulfills this. In my spare time I enjoy live music, the outdoors, allowing my curiosity to guide me in finding new adventures in everyday life…and campy horror movies. 🙂

Here is a bit more about me…

Women’s Wellness Mentoring~

As an acupuncturist and Chinese medicine educator for over 23 years, Valerie brings her passion for the medicine to her mentoring clients and workshop attendees. Her goal is always to inspire the women she works with to create an engaging adventure of self-discovery and empowerment.

Valerie will not hesitate to gently challenge and nudge clients out of their comfort zone when appropriate. She leads with her curiosity and creates a safe, non-judgmental environment to investigate, understand and question in order to help clients on their journey of rediscovery.

She is passionate about inspiring women in their second half to live authentically, reintroduce them to their inner strength and passion (that they may have lost touch with), rediscover their voice and ROAR with joy at whatever path they find themselves on.

"If you are lucky enough to know Val, you know she is the real deal. She has a  wonderful and hilarious way of authentically sharing her journey, both the triumphs and the struggles. That's why so many people can relate to her. She reminds us all that we don't have to be perfect and that self-care is a journey, not a destination.” ~RT

“Our souls are not hungry for fame, comfort, wealth, or power. Our souls are hungry for meaning, for the sense that we have figured out how to live so that our lives matter.” ~ Harold Kushner
